The Millennium Grove has been given a grant to fund the building of a handicap-accessible path around the grove. Construction is set to begin this month (July, 2017).
As part of the $49,000 project, earth that is removed to build the path will be used to build a few mounds. These mounds will break up the monotony of the flat landscape of the grove.
The grant also includes the construction of a picnic shelter for shade, rain protection and to provide information about the layout of the grove.
